If inserting into a New Presentation, use templates/layouts to structure the image importing. If inserting into the current presentation you can use your Master Slide to structure the appearance.
Here you can also define how many images you want to appear on each slide. Additionally you can "Load" settings. If you have saved your settings from a previous session.

Here you Select the Folders where the images are located. You can select a list of folders by selecting "Browse" and adding different locations to the folder list.

Here you select the format of the images. PowerPoint does not support photoshop files so be sure to save your scaned images as .jpg

The image Import Wizard searches though the folders and imports all the images. Here you select which images you want to in include. If you want to include the entire image that the Wizard found in the folders select "Select All". You can also change the order by selecting "Set order", and add relative text to each slide by selecting "add captions"

Click on Finish and your presntation should show up.

If you want to Title the slides with text you can set your master slide so that the title text will not be on top of your images. One way to do that would be to set the background and the text to black and then move the title text to the bottom layer in the master slide. Then when you name each slide in the slide view the title text will no show up on top of your image.
