Virtual Computer Labs

Applications

File Access

Your UCSC Home Directory will be mounted during your session. Use this file space to open and save documents. In addition your local drives will be mounted by default. You have the option to not mount them. See this FAQ for more information. (opens a new window)

Printing

Connection Speeds

If you are connecting from home you may need a broadband internet connection to get best performance from the Windows Virtual Lab.

Access From the CruzNet Wireless Network

You can connect to the Windows Virtual Lab while using the CruzNet wireless network. Simply establish your connection on CruzNet and then login to the Windows Virtual Lab.

Scheduled Outages

The Windows Virtual lab may be unavailable 3:00am to 3:30am every morning for scheduled maintenance.
