Virtual Computer Labs (beta)
Our Virtual Computer Lab beta service allows you to access many services available in our physical computer labs—including our computers' standard desktop environment, many software applications, and UCSC home directory—all without needing to come to a physical lab. Please note that printing and some software applications are not available from the Virtual Lab at this time. View the list of software for the Windows Virtual Lab.
Using your standard UCSC username and password, this service allows you to remotely connect to an Instructional Computing Windows virtual lab. View instructions for how to connect to the Virtual Lab.
The Virtual Computer Lab is a beta (experimental) service that Instructional Computing is investigating. While things are generally working, it might not be quite ready for prime time. We need your feedback—both positive and negative—to help us understand the demand for this service and to help squash any lurking bugs.
